Mount Congreve Gardens

Mount Congreve Gardens is a renowned 70-acre woodland garden located in County Waterford. Mr. Herman Dool with Mr. Ambrose Congreve developed the gardens over 40 years. The estate features over 16 kilometers of walking paths, a wide variety of plant species, and several themed garden areas, including the Walled Garden, the Magnolia Walk, and the Fragrant Walk. It is home to over 3,000 different trees and shrubs, including rhododendrons, camellias, and magnolias.

Mount Congreve is a botanical paradise renowned for its exquisite woodland gardens, inspired by the legendary landscaper and hybridist, Mr. Lionel N. de Rothschild. His visionary influence transformed a modest terraced garden and woodland into a horticultural masterpiece, celebrated for its diverse and rare plant species. The gardens are now preserved in trust for the State, ensuring their beauty and legacy endure for future generations.
