Carrick-on-Suir Heritage Centre Seeks Café Operator
Carrick-on-Suir Development Association has issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) inviting experienced café operators to run a compact café/coffee dock within the new Carrick-on-Suir Heritage Centre, due to open in May 2026 supported by Fáilte Ireland and the EU Just Transition Fund.

Located on Main Street, Carrick-on-Suir, the Heritage Centre is being developed as part of the EU-funded Tides of Time regeneration project. The Centre will feature immersive interpretive exhibitions, creative and community spaces, and a welcoming visitor hub designed to connect both locals and visitors with the town’s rich cultural and heritage story.
The café will play an important role in shaping the overall visitor experience, providing a warm, professional, and high-quality refreshment offer within the Centre.
This is an Expression of Interest (not a formal tender). It aims to identify individuals or organisations with the experience, creativity, and professionalism to operate these services under licence from Carrick-on-Suir Development Association. Following review, shortlisted applicants may be invited for an informal discussion or site visit before a final decision is made.
This is intended as a coffee-dock style offer within the Centre, not a full restaurant. It should complement, not compete with, existing cafés in the town. The café will operate as a self-contained concession, offering:
- Barista-quality coffee/tea service
- A small, high-quality selection of locally sourced sweet treats or baked goods
- Friendly, professional presentation in keeping with a heritage setting
- Environmentally responsible and waste-conscious practices
Expressions of Interest should be submitted by 6 February 2026.
