On August 17, 2024, Carrick-on-Suir came alive with the inaugural Explore Carrick-on-Suir Community Day, a vibrant event launched during National Heritage Week. Organized by the Explore Carrick-on-Suir Tourism & Economic Development Committee (COSTEDC) and funded by TCC and COSED 2040 CLG, this day marked the official launch of the Explore Carrick-on-Suir Tourism and Community Initiative.

The event showcased the town’s rich history, culture, and community spirit with a diverse lineup of activities. From historical tours and sports events to family fun, arts, and biodiversity exhibits, there was something for everyone. Attended by locals, visitors, and community leaders, the day was a resounding success, celebrating everything that makes Carrick-on-Suir special.
