The Carrick-on-Suir Handball & Racquetball club is a community based sports club dedicated to promoting the sport of handball in Carrick-on-Suir. The club currently has an indoor 40×20 court used for playing Handball and Racquetball and an outdoor 60×30 court.
There are two changing rooms with shower facilities, which can be used by all members and visiting guests or teams from other clubs. Male and female toilets are also available. Within the club there is also a great viewing area to watch games being played, and a tea or coffee area, where members or visiting guests can avail of before or after a game. There is also a referee stand, which is used to referee a match. A new addition to the club is the Gym, which can be used by all paid members.
Activities: The club offers training and competitive play for all ages, from beginners to advanced players. They participate in local and national competitions, fostering a strong sense of community and sportsmanship.
Achievements: The club has a history of producing talented players who compete at various levels, showcasing the skills and dedication of its members.
Membership to the club is €20 per adult, €10 per juvenile and €50 for a family per year. This includes the use of all facilities. The use of the court and the gym is on a pay for lights basis. The cost of the lights for the court is €1 for 15 minutes and the cost of the lights for the gym is €1 for 25 minutes.
