Pride of Place Nomination

We’re honoured to be nominated for a National Pride of Place “Community Tourism” Award!

Last week the Pride of Place judges visited Carrick-on-Suir, we had the opportunity to showcase our projects, festivals, initiatives, our schools’ entrepreneurial programme, the Heritage Centre project & lots more. Most importantly, the judges met a few of the people who work tirelessly to turn ideas into reality, bringing pride and community spirit to life.

Pride of Place is a national competition that celebrates the incredible work communities do across Ireland to make their places better. Being nominated gave us the chance to demonstrate the spirit of Carrick-on-Suir … our creativity, partnerships, inclusivity, and the pride we have in our place.
